Science fiction anthology

The D.C. Conspiracy is gearing up for another anthology, this time tackling science fiction. Below is a page from the eight-page story I'm working on. I've got the plot set but still need to work on the details.

Sketches for upcoming projects

Here are a couple of sketches I did for two upcoming projects I'm working on with Carol. The black and white illos incorporate the new style I'm playing with. The other one I'm toying with a minimal number of colors.

Eisner nod

The Postcards anthology, for which I wrote the short horror story "Send Louis His Underwear" (and illustrated by Trickster contributor and Canada's favorite comic-book illustrator Jason Copland) is up for an Eisner in the anthology catagory. If you're eligible to vote, take a look at the book and see if you think it's worthy of the top prize.

Writing for Comics panel

Tomorrow, the Writer's Center (a few miles up Wisconsin Ave. from D.C.) is having a free panel discussion on writing for comics. They have two 6-week classes teaching the subject beginning April 22nd, an entry-level and a more advanced one.

I'll be on the panel, talking mainly about self-publishing. My D.C. Conspiracy colleague Jason Rodriguez and Chris Piers, who will teach the courses this spring, will give a preview of the class.
